Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol a upcoming dragon ball show

Toei Animation is officially producing Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, an anime adaptation of the manga's Galactic Patrol Prisoner (Moro) arc. While production is currently ramping up featuring visual designs from Dragon Ball Super Broly director Hiro Shintani the release is slated for after the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Beerus enhanced edition.

The Galactic Patrol anime picks up directly after the Tournament of Power. It follows Goku and Vegeta as they are recruited by the space-faring Galactic Patrol to stop "Planet Eater" Moro, an ancient, magic wielding fugitive who has escaped from the Galactic Prison.

Reports indicate that the production will primarily maintain the franchise's traditional 2D animation style while subtly incorporating CGI for complex action sequences, similar to recent techniques used in One Piece. Before The Galactic Patrol airs, Toei is releasing Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, an enhanced re-cut of the earlier anime that features significantly upgraded visuals, with a confirmed broadcast window in Fall 2026. Because Toei Animation's release schedule prioritizes the Beerus series, the Galactic Patrol arc is slated to release in 2027.
