After Goku's and Piccolo's fight with Raditz Piccolo takes Gohan to train him but he starts off by leaving him to survive in the wild for 6 month. After the 6 months past Piccolo starts Gohan's real training.
Meanwhile in the underworld Goku and Kami are talking to King Yamma where Yamma explains what he does and Goku And Kami requesting permission from King Yamma so Goku can head down snake way to train with King Kai.
Meanwhile back on Earth Piccolo Checks on Gohan fetches 2 apple's for him to eat at least 1 time then later on in the video Yajirobi teaches Gohan how to hunt to survive. That's one scene that's in the game but not in the show.
Later on Gohan is asleep then a full moon comes up and he transforms into a giant Great Ape. it's the same thing Raditz told them in chapter 1 that's when a Saiyan's true power is released. So Piccolo destroys the moon to change Gohan back to normal.
Piccolo checks on everyone else to see how their training is going that includes Krillin, Tien, And, Yamcha before he checks back on Gohan. Now Piccolo and Gohan start training hard with the 6 months remaining.
King kai teaches Goku how to use the Kaioken And form a spirit bomb that is is formed using energy from living thing's and is concentrated into a bomb. Goku is brought back to life with the dragon balls and starts heading back to Earth. With the Saiyans Nappa and Vegeta about to get Back to earth. At the 2:47:00 video mark Piccolo test Gohan by having a battle with him and Gohan passes the test.
A few days later the Saiyan's arrive on Earth Nappa plants seeds to grow saibimen one of the saibimen jump on Yamcha and explode on him costing him his life with both Yamcha and the saibimen dieing. Then overwhelmed by Nappa's power Tien loses his arm after taking a hit from Nappa. Chaosu attaches himself to Nappa in attempt to sacrifice himself to defeat Nappa. unfortunately Chaosu's sacrifice didnt have any impact on Nappa.
After Piccolo sacrficed himself to save Gohan from being killed by a ki blast from Nappa Gohan's batlle srarted with Nappa but the battle wasnt finished. Goku Comes in Nappa tries to take out Gohan and Krillin But is overpowered by Goku New Transformation the Kaioken after landing a punch in the back on Nappa.
Goku catches Nappa with 1 hand and throws him Infront of Vegeta then Vegeta kills Nappa. So he can fight Goku 1 on 1. After Vegeta starts to get tired Vegeta uses a Burst open technique to transform into a Great Ape Yajirobi Runs in cuts off the tail causing Vegeta to turn back to normal. Being overwhelmed from battle Vegeta Heads toward the ship Krillin tries to stop him but Goku convinces him to let Vegeta go to Fight him another day.
