7th.Pheonix Suns W=44 L=37
8th Portland Trail Blazers
9th.LA Clippers
10th.Golden State Warriors W=37 L=44
In the Western Conference, yesterday the clippers and trailblazers both won keeping their places the same the tournament will begin this Tuesday. The math is simple but the pressure is immense since the clippers finishes in 9th place they will be forced into a "win-or-go-home" game against the Golden State Warriors, who are locked in at 10th. Meanwhile, the portland trail blazers will face the Phoenix Suns, who have already clinched the 7th spot. the winner instantly takes the 7th seed in the final playoff bracket, while the loser still has one more life left in the tournament.
The drama really heats up in the second round of the Play-In for that final 8th playoff spot. Whoever loses the battle between the Suns and the trailblazers must immediately turn around and play the winner of LA Clippers vs. Golden state Warriors. This creates a high-pressure scenario where the Warriors' opponent currently either the Blazers or Clippers has to win twice just to survive, while the loser of the Suns' game only needs to win this final matchup to secure their place. It’s a complex web of "what-ifs," but it ensures that only the teams with the most resilience under fire will move on to face the top-seeded Thunder in the first round.

As the 2025–26 NBA regular season officially draws to a close today, April 12, the playoff picture is finally coming into focus. In the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder have officially locked up the #1 seed with a dominant 64-17 record, while the San Antonio Spurs hold firm at #2. The middle of the pack is just as intense, with the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers rounding out the top four. My favorite team, the Houston Rockets, have put up a hell of a fight to secure the 5th seed at 51-30, setting the stage for a massive postseason run.
While my heart is with the Rockets, a professional must prioritize results and technical skill over favoritism, which is why the Oklahoma City Thunder are my main focus heading into the playoffs. Their league-leading 64-17 record isn't just a fluke of the standings; it is the result of a high-efficiency system that ranks in the top five for both scoring and defensive rating. With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander averaging over 31 points and Chet Holmgren providing elite rim protection, they have the personnel to dictate the tempo of any game. Their ability to remain consistent throughout the grueling 82-game season proves they have the mental toughness required for a deep title run.
When you break down the specific results of each game, you see a team that rarely cracks under pressure, often turning close fourth-quarter contests into decisive victories. This combination of raw skill and late-game execution makes them an incredibly tough out in a seven-game series where adjustments are everything. Even if other teams shift a spot or two in the final hours, OKC's foundation is so solid that their status as the championship favorite remains unchanged. They are a well-oiled machine that forces opponents to play perfect basketball just to keep it competitive, making them the most dangerous threat in the bracket.
The Eastern Conference is where things get truly chaotic, especially with so many teams marked as TBDSCC (To Be Determined Spot Can Change). While the Detroit Pistons have shocked the league by clinching the top spot at 59-22, the race from the 6th to 10th seed is a total dogfight. The Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic are currently deadlocked at 45 wins each, and with the 76ers, Hornets, and Heat all within striking distance, today's final games will completely reshape the Play-In tournament. It’s a close score across the board, and I can't wait to see who actually survives the cut.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, was asked in a recent interview with CNBC if he’s looked into the rules regarding a minority owner returning to NFL play. "I actually have inquired, and they (the NFL) don’t like that idea very much, so I’m going to leave it at that,” Brady said. “We explored a lot of different things, and I’m very happily retired. Let me say that, too. It wouldn’t have been Brady’s first time coming out of retirement. The three-time league MVP briefly retired during the 2022 offseason after two seasons with the Buccaneers. He had a change of heart 40 days later and went on to play for one more year before retiring “for good” in February 2023.
Brady recently turned heads in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, where he played alongside Jalen Hurts, Devonta Smith, Stefon Diggs and Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty. He also reunited on the field with his teammate of 11 seasons and four-time time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski.
